RFI Press Release: M2M Approvals

24th May 2010 – Basingstoke, UK – RFI Global Services Ltd today announced a bundling of approvals services aimed at integrators of Wireless Technology devices, typically known as Machine to Machine (M2M).

RFI has been working with M2M manufacturers since 2006 and utilising all parts of RFI’s Global Approvals portfolio, this package allows manufacturers to complete all of the international market approvals needed for M2M devices in one arrangement.

Although centred on the more stringent requirements of cellular technology, the improved offer caters for more complex devices, those that include multiple radio technologies and covers a wider range of regional, country and industry approval schemes.

To further assist manufacturers to obtain the most cost effective and practical solution to complete these approvals, the offer also includes:
·         overall project management by one of our approvals experts
·         the ability to instantly call upon our resident technical consultants, should any wireless design considerations or EMC fixes be required
·         suitable pre-compliance, backed up by our over-all compliance guarantee.

RFI is delighted to be able to offer this comprehensive package, reinforcing the value of the offer to M2M vendors all over the world.

Chris Guy, Head of Global Approvals at RFI commented: “RFI has led the market on M2M approvals for several years now and I am delighted that we have refined and enhanced our offer so that we can lend our expertise to continue to help simplify a complex, time consuming and costly compliance obligation for manufacturers.”
