LTE has arrived
RFI Global Services Ltd, a UL Company, are pleased to announce an enhancement to its cellular conformance services with the addition of a Long Term Evolution (LTE) conformance test capability at its Basingstoke, UK test facility.
Suitable for both GCF and PTCRB certification schemes, UL’s cellular certification group has now been enhanced with the addition of the LTE Radio Frequency (RF), Radio Resource Management (RRM) and Protocol test platforms supplied by Anritsu Corporation, a leader in UMTS and LTE conformance test systems.
The Anritsu ME7873L LTE RF & RRM conformance test system leads the market in terms of test case validations and the ME7834 Mobile device protocol test platform is one of the two key market leading platforms, driving the global LTE certification process forwards, enabling commercial services to be launched with confidence by network operators.
In addition, with built-in LTE functionality to show compliance for European market access (to EN 301 908-13 for the R&TTE directive), testing can be performed with the confidence and speed that an automated, validated conformance test system provides.
For the past ten years, RFI has been providing device testing and test platform validation services to support the cellular certification schemes and the UL investment in these LTE test platforms confirms and extends that commitment to providing a world class service to manufacturers of chipsets, dongles, tablets, notebooks and Smartphone’s using LTE technology. And the very low latency and high data rate that LTE provides allows true mobile internet connectivity; an ‘always on’ connection for many other device types, beyond the traditional voice-centric user equipment.
