RFI Accredited By CTIA The Wireless Association ® For Over The Air Performance
21st November 2011 – RFI are pleased to announce that it has been accredited by the CTIA for CTIA Test Plan for Mobile Station Over The Air Performance 3.1, the latest advance in standard for wireless device performance .
In addition, RFI is also one of the first laboratories to be audited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to CTIA Test Plan for Mobile Station Over The Air Performance 3.1.
Utilising a Satimo SG24 system, with Agilent Test and Measurement Equipment, RFI is focussed on the GSM / GPRS / EGPRS / CDMA 2000 / WCMDA / HSPA / GPS / AGPS technologies for the present and is adding WiFi and Long Term Evolution (LTE) in the near future. These will be combined into performance packages for CTIA compliance, CTIA pre-compliance and research & development.
In conjunction with our other
· Over The Air (OTA),
· Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)
· Radiated Spurious Emissions (RSE).
Robert Graham, Cellular Technical Group Manager, states “Adding the OTA capability to our portfolio better places us to engage earlier with our customers and help them gain a deeper understanding of their device performance and how that may affect their regulatory and conformance requirements. Working with our Engineering Services team in this way, allows them to address any improvements they have and gain the best balance on performance. Alternatively, any issues discovered during compliance testing can be tackled with our remedial services.”
